Drywall Remodels and Repairs in Austin, TX

Room remodels, patches and holes — no job is too small — in Austin and all around it.

No job is too small. That is worth stating plainly, because plenty of drywall companies would rather not drive out for one hole, and one hole is exactly what most homeowners actually need.

The other half of this is remodel work — a wall coming out, a room being reconfigured, a garage being turned into living space. That is new board tied into old board, and the join between them is where a remodel either disappears or announces itself forever.

What's included

On a repair, the damage gets cut back to solid edges and to something to screw into, because a patch floated over an empty cavity moves later and cracks along the same line. Then the texture is matched to what is already on the wall, which is usually what separates a repair you stop noticing from one you point at.

On a remodel, the new board almost never sits at the same depth as the old, especially in older central-Austin houses. That difference has to be bridged gradually across the join rather than stopped at the edge of the new work.

How we work

Send a photo

A photo on WhatsApp usually tells us more than a description, and it is often enough to price the work without a trip out.

Cut back to solid

The area is squared off to solid board and to backing we can screw into, so the repair has something to hold onto.

Fill, tape and feather

The piece goes in, the joint is taped, and the coats are feathered wide. Wide is what keeps a patch from sitting proud of the wall.

Match the texture

Tested on a scrap against your wall, then carried past the repair so the transition happens where your eye is not looking.

Remodels & Repairs by city

Raeford, Fayetteville and the towns around them are not one market — a Fort Bragg rental turning over, a brick ranch off Bragg Boulevard and a new build in Hope Mills are three different jobs.

Common questions

Is one small hole worth calling about?
Yes. No job is too small, and we mean it — small repairs are normal work here rather than a favour. Send a photo and we will tell you what it costs.
Can you take out a wall?
We can board and finish the opening once it is out, but whether a wall can come out at all is a framing and structural question, and we will tell you that plainly rather than guess.
Do you fix somebody else's bad patch?
Often, and usually the old work comes out first. Building over an unsound repair fails in the same place for the same reason, so it is cheaper to redo than to cover.
